Latrice Cooper Creative Expression Studio Artist
LATRICE COOPER is a self taught artist living in Central Georgia. She has been creating artwork from an early age and she began working with Creative Expressions Studio & Gallery in 2006. Latrice is a dedicated artist that loves coming to the studio and creating art. Latrice is fascinated by animals and this inspires much of her artwork. She has this great ability to see the detail and childlike qualities of different animals and make them her own. She creates her own characters and interpretations of all types of creatures from alligators to zebras. Most of her works are pencil drawings on paper, with layers upon layers of drawings. The images are interwoven and detailed. She has been experimenting with different mediums in her more recent works such as acrylic on panel, marker of canvas, and watercolor on paper. Latrice has won honorable mention two years in a row in the GA Artists with disAbilities competition and has artwork that will be on tour throughout the state of GA.
